Hi everyone!
Sorry that it's been so long since I last posted. I was in the Commons for quite some time during lunch. Anyways, here's today's news:
Today, the governor of Indiana has decided to support keeping the locks open, which could allow the Asian carp to invade the Great Lakes. Indiana opposed this earlier, but the governor thought only of his state as the closing of the locks would flood some areas in Indiana. That shouldn't be an excuse to save yourself while other Great Lakes states, especially Michigan, suffer.
In other news, Georgian luger Nodar Kumaritashvili died after falling of his sled at high speed and running into a pole. Chest compressions and mouth-to-mouth resuscitation were given to him but they pronounced him dead. How tragic and just before the Olympics. So sad...
Well, that's it for today. Have a good weekend.
¡Adios!
