Today is Wednesday!?

Hello everyone!

Sorry that I haven't posted in while. I was busy or in the Commons. Anyways, here's today's news:

Iran has tested its longest-ranged missile, the Sajjil-2 today, which is capable of hitting Israel and parts of southern Europe. This is a very serious issue as the U.S. is trying to stop Iran's nuclear weapons program. Iran claims that the program is for energy, not for a weapon. This missile is their most advanced, since it claims to be indestructible and it runs on solid fuel. Iran has also said that they will launch the missile if the U.S. or Israel gets in the way.

In other news, a lot of incidents with teachers and elementary school students have popped up this week. For example, a teacher in New Jersey told one of her third grade students to put away her Bible, which the student was reading during quiet time. The school apologized, saying that the teacher made a mistake, since reading the Bible is allowed. Another incident is that a teacher in Milwaukee told her first grade student to stop playing with her beaded braids. The student continued to do so and the teacher told her to come up to the front of the class, then the teacher cut one of them off. The school apologized and the school board is deciding whether or not to fire the teacher. The student was moved to another class.

How ridiculous is this!? I'm surprised they would even do such a thing. Oh well, it's their problem...

Well, that's it for today. I don't know if I will post something new later this week nor during Winter Break so have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

¡Adios!
